Troy University ESL Tutor in Troy, Alabama
The ESL Tutor position in International Programs is responsible for serving as a resource to assist ESL students in writing, reading, grammar, listening, and speaking; maintaining records of tutoring sessions; and addressing needs specified by teachers. All tutors must have knowledge of grammar terminology and forms, have strong writing skills, understand and be able to explain essay structure and citations (MLA and/or APA), and be creative in explaining, teaching, and helping students learn vocabulary assigned by teachers.
- Must be a current Troy University student (Native English Speakers and International students can apply).
- Demonstrate a high level of English language ability in both speaking and writing.
- Must be an English, TESOL, SLI, or Foreign Languages major/minor.
- Teaching English as a Second Language experience highly desired.
